Putting Lesson: How To Make A Downhill Putt

How-To-Putt-DownhillWhen looking at a downhill putt, typically it will be a fast putt. Instead of trying to putt it gently and being tentative, try this. In the picture, this player has the ball positioned towards the toe of the club (furthest point away from the shaft). The ball will come off of the putter head much softer than normal, because the center of the club is where the most mass is located. Try putting it like a normal stroke and see the control you have!

The Glencoe Golf & CC is proud to announce the introduction of a new putting technology, SAM PuttLab. Contact me to arrange your session on this Tour-proven technology and improve your putting! There is no additional fee for this assessment, this is a part of your lesson.

SAM PuttLab is an analysis and training system based on an accurate ultrasound measurements. Discover your individual strengths and weaknesses for a better and more efficient training.

Within seconds the system gives you an individual feedback on your putting strokes. The analysis reveals even the smallest details of your movements and allows you to develop improvements and training strategies. SAM PuttLab utilizes ultrasound sensory analysis and therefore is far more precise than any other similar system on the market.
