Bringing Cool Back To Golf

Fairway-Executive-PodcastRecently, I was featured on the Golf Industry Training Association Podcast. This was an awesome experience which allowed me to talk about such topics as how golf has lost its “cool factor”, how to attract young people to the game, and what I feel is the biggest threat to the golf industry.

I hope you enjoy the show. Please let me know your comments, feedback, or questions. I would love to hear from you.

Pull Shots

Golf_Tips_Pull_ShotA pull or pulled shot for a right handed player is when the golf ball starts immediately to the left of the intended target. This shot tends to go further than the player’s normal distance. The clubface is closed relative to the path of the club.

Alignment can be misleading you to think that you are pulling the ball, especially if you are too open with your stance or too closed.

The culprit really lies in your downswing sequence, starting your downswing with too much shoulder rotation, before you start your legs/pelvis.

If the clubface is open relative to your path, you will slice it!

I use Trackman Radar and Flitescope radar in conjunction with video to help you see this in action. Now we go and fix it!
